Beaches

Apart from Kala Nera, the coast line of the municipality of Milies consists of four more beaches. On the way to Kala Nera from Volos, there is Malaki, a beautiful big beach with a little tourist development.

You can continue along the coast road to the picturesque port of Kato Gatzea, an attractive old fishing settlement with a growing tourism infrastructure, but without a beach that’s highly suitable for swimming.

Right next to the port of Gatzea, is the pleasant small beach of Sykia, fully organised by the owners of the two camp sites that are situated there.

On passing Kala Nera, just one kilometre further along the road, we find the vast coastline of the Koropi, Boufa with crystal clear waters and good services provided by the few stores in the region.
