Country churches

One of the most historical country churches in the region is that of Agia Triada in Milies, on the road to Tsagarada, set amidst beautiful scenery, beneath towering trees.

It was from this church that Konstandinos Garefis began his struggle to free Macedonia, and every Monday of the Holy Spirit, a commemorative ceremony is organised.

Another picturesque country church is that of Saint Athanasius, situated on the hill between Kala Nera and Pinakates. On May 2nd each year, a feast takes place in honour of the relic of the Saint.
